ABOUT GOLDENDOODLES
A Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. A Goldendoodle is not a pure breed, so they are not registered. Goldendoodles are fun, charismatic, family dogs that are great with children. They are happiest when directly involved in family life. Golden Retrievers and poodles are ranked in the top five smartest dogs in the world, and the Goldendoodle is no different.
A few words that describe the doodles are goofy, fun-loving, and loyal. They are excellent with children, other animals, and people in general. Goldendoodles need an abundance of human companionship. Even though they may bark to announce a visitor at the door, Goldendoodles are not generally excessive barkers.
The best way to avoid any destructive behavior is to crate them and to provide toys and treats to keep them busy throughout the day. Keeping the radio on when you're out is another great way to keep them happy. Goldendoodles are non- to light shedding dogs and may be a good match for people with allergies. They do require biweekly-daily brushing and many owners opt to have them clipped, especially during the summer months.

WHY GOLDENDOODLES ARE GREAT!
1. Non-Shedding / Hypoallergenic
- Goldendoodles are generally non-shedding and hypoallergenic with very minimal dander.
2. Qualified Service Dogs
- Goldendoodles were originally bred as service dogs and have the intelligence and demeanor to serve as a service dog for children or disabled adults.
3. Highly Intelligent
- Poodles and Golden Retrievers reside in the top five smartest dog breeds in the world. As a result, Goldendoodles are also incredibly smart and one of the easiest dogs to train.
4. Great With Kids
- Goldendoodles generally possess a very calm demeanor. They have a loving personality and are incredibly non-aggressive.
7. Non-Aggressive
- A Goldendoodle generally possesses an intimidating bark, but no bite. They are exceptionally non-aggressive animals. They make great watch dogs if you want the reassurance of a dog that could sound scary, but don't actually want an aggressive dog you have to worry about.
8. Hybrid Vigor
- The phenomenon known as "hybrid vigor" is a side effect of cross-breeding. Due to generations of inbreeding, some full-bred dogs can suffer from a variety of disorders. Goldendoodles have a much lower incidence of common disorders due to the genetic diversity of Poodles and Golden Retrievers as a whole. As a result, arthritis and hip-displasia are far less common in Goldendoodles compared to other similarly sized dogs.
9. Love Activities
- Goldendoodles are calm but charismatic, making them excellent dogs to enjoy all kinds of fun and activities with.
10. Absolutely Adorable
- Just look at the pictures. They have to be some of the cutest things on earth!
